  1. Draw home or an agreed meeting point.
  2. Add three large landmarks without posting private details publicly.
  3. Practice stating a caregiver's name and asking a staff member for help.

What may feel scary or confusing

Do not train a child to roam in search of a caregiver. The core plan is to stop in a safe place and ask agreed staff or adults for help.

For adults: leave room for the child's view

If a child shares a fear of separation, listen and review the family plan instead of promising it could never happen.
