The Penguin and the Northern Lights

In a cold icy land, a little penguin named Polo saw green and purple lights dancing across the night sky for the very first time. He was thrilled and full of wonder about what it could be.

Polo asked an old seal resting on an ice floe. The seal said, "That's the Northern Lights. No one knows exactly what causes them — you'll have to travel closer and see for yourself."

So Polo set off across the vast icy plains at night. The sky above him filled with green, purple, and pink lights, rippling like a magical curtain.

When he reached the tallest icy peak, Polo saw the Northern Lights fill the whole sky up close for the first time. It was so beautiful that his beak dropped open in amazement.

Polo never got a clear scientific answer for what caused the lights, but he learned that curiosity had led him to a beauty he'd never imagined. He returned home with a heart full of joy, eager to tell his friends all about it.

Curiosity, and the courage to go find answers for ourselves, can lead us to wonders we never imagined.
