A small brown sparrow flies hurriedly across a sky where dark grey storm clouds are gathering quickly. The wind is picking up and leaves sway sharply below.

One day, a little sparrow was flying home when she looked up and saw dark rain clouds rolling in fast. She flapped her wings harder, hurrying to reach home before the storm arrived.

A small black beetle is trapped in the middle of a rain puddle on the ground, legs struggling uselessly. Rain is falling harder now, creating ripples around it on the wet pavement.

On the way, she spotted a tiny beetle stuck in a puddle on the ground, struggling helplessly, unable to move at all as the rain began falling harder and harder.

The little sparrow stands at the edge of the rain-soaked puddle, tilting her head as she looks at the beetle with a hesitant expression. Her feathers are already starting to get drenched by the falling rain.

The sparrow hesitated for a moment, knowing that getting wetter would make it much harder to fly home. But in the end, she decided she would help the little beetle first.

The completely drenched sparrow gently uses her beak to guide the tiny beetle toward shelter under a large leaf. Heavy rain pours down around them both.

The soaked little sparrow arrives home at a warm nest in a tree, where her mother wraps a wing around her with a warm, proud smile. Outside, the rain is softening to a light drizzle as the sky begins to brighten slightly.

At last the little sparrow reached her nest, soaked to the bone but with a happy heart. Her mother praised her kindness, while the little beetle stayed safe and dry under the leaf. Both had made it through the storm together.

Moral of the story

Helping others, even when it costs us some comfort, is always worth it.
