The Butterfly and the Flower Carnival

Every spring, the flower garden held a grand carnival where butterflies of every kind flew in to show off their beautiful wings. Most of the butterflies there had bright, matching striped wings.

One butterfly named Little Dot had wings covered in round spots instead of stripes like her friends. Feeling embarrassed, she hid behind a leaf, too shy to fly out and join the celebration.

A bee flying by noticed her and asked, "Why aren't you joining the carnival? Your spotted wings are so beautiful!" Little Dot answered quietly, "But my wings don't look like anyone else's."

The bee invited Little Dot to fly to the carnival together. There, she found colorful flowers everywhere and butterflies of every kind — striped, spotted, netted — each with its own unique pattern.

Little Dot felt so happy to see that everyone's differences were exactly what made the carnival so beautiful. She spread her wings and joined the celebration, proud of her own special pattern at last.

Everyone has their own kind of beauty and worth. Being different is nothing to be ashamed of — it's something to be proud of.
