Sasi and the Scent Map

Grandma's herb garden held sweet pandan, bright kaffir lime, and peppery basil. Sasi loved closing her eyes and guessing which plant was near, but visitors often passed by because the tiny signs were hard to read.

Sasi carefully gathered samples. She laid a soft guide rope, placed a leaf-shaped wooden tile by the pandan, a rough circle by the lime, and a star by the basil.

A strong wind mixed all the scents together. A nose-only map would not work. Sasi paused, then added mesh sample pouches and little bells with different sounds at each stop.

Sasi invited Grandma to test it. Grandma followed the rope, touched each shape, listened to each bell, and smelled each sample. She found pandan, lime, and basil without reading a single sign.

On opening day, young children, grown-ups, and a grandfather with low vision explored in their own ways. Sasi smiled when someone said, 'This garden tells its story through scent, sound, and our hands.'
